Emmalou Hale is an artist designer from Canada, currently based in Jakarta. Her work combines sculpture, installation and printmaking with fashion design. She seeks to express the balance of her universe by recognizing connection within dichotomy. Combining two halves to a whole; art and fashion, natural and synthetic, simplistic and intricate, male and female, spiritual and rational. Her current reality is devoted to understanding expressions of Human Connection and the Human Experience.

 

Her symbol PU$$Y P0W3R, initially a vulgar gesture, has been reclaimed as an embodiment of the female experience. PU$$Y P0W3R seeks to unify the energies of ALL women, from ALL histories and ALL identities in restoring an old world order. Through this solidarity may we fight towards a world of equality, acceptance and creativity.
